Is looking for Director of Resource Development Department

The Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC), the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, is one of the leading organizations working to secure civil and human rights in Israel based on the precepts of Israeli law and Jewish tradition. We work to advance freedom of and from religion, equal status for Progressive Judaism, racial equality, women’s and LGBTQ rights, and to protect the rights of converts and immigrants.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

●      Developing and implementing IRAC's fundraising strategy

●      Managing a team of 2-3 team members in the resource development department

●      Retaining existing donors

●      Identifying and cultivating new foundations and private donors

●      Writing applications and reports in English for foundations and donors

●      Managing crowdfunding campaigns in Israel and abroad and an end-of-year campaign

●      Planning and participating in fundraising trips abroad along with IRAC's executive director

●      Managing and monitoring IRAC's cashflow

●      Responsibility for all English materials such as newsletter, website, etc.

●      Responsibility for IRAC's data base of donors and its upgrade

●      Representation of the organization for visiting groups

 

Requirements:

●      Significant experience in resource development including three years of experience in managing a resource development team

●      Experience writing applications and reports for foundations and identifying new foundations

●      Experience building budgets

●      Initiative, creativity, ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, ability to manage a team under pressure

●      Strong identification with the organization's values

●      English – mother tongue level; excellent verbal and written expression

●      Hebrew – high level

●      Experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce an advantage

 IRAC's Offices are located in Jerusalem; IRAC staff enjoy significant flexibility with respect to hybrid work arrangements

The director of resource development reports to IRAC's executive director

Full-time.

Salary range: 15,000-17,000 NIS with potential flexibility for especially experienced candidates
